Second quarterly social of The Fund at Baptist church
The Fund, a church group to raise the debt, held its second quarterly social at the Baptist church last week. $110 was raised, with Mr. Kibble providing the rush tree of charge. Woman's Auxiliary reports year of gains and endowment progress
The 1914 annual meeting notes the Industrial Fair netted over 700 and the auxiliary voted to pay all bills. Funds supported the girls and boys dormitories, $150 toward the endowment pledge, and fruit sales totaling 113.65 with costs 57.74. This year 525 half gallon cans and 123 glasses of jelly were produced for dormitory use, plus three and a half dozen cans from Spring Brook. The Ways and Means Committee added 135.61 to revenue, pushing total over 1,000, later boosted to over 200 by market activity. Shrubs were planted on campus. Three Friends church quarterly meetings formed auxiliaries. Gratitude extended to Jesse Edwards, Yamhill Electric Co, Chehalem Valley Mills, and others for market support and support of the college department. Offiers named: Rebecca Pennington president, Berta K. Terrell vice president, Anna McDonald treasurer, Rebecca W. H. Smith secretary.

Ladies hear music pupils in River Street meeting
Several mothers of Mrs music pupils gathered Friday afternoon October 1 at Mrs Whiton s River Street home to listen to their children perform. Pupils include Gerald Held Asona Thies sen Verna Range Kenneth Range Marie Krohn Mabel Atkinson Homen Atkinson and Vella Morris. The group noted many are enthusiastic and progressing well.
