Willamina Pioneer Philip R. Fendall Dies at 63
Philip R. Fendall, longtime Willamina resident and stock farmer, died at his home Thursday morning November 18 at age 63. He was born on the old donation land grant near Willamina and spent four decades in farming. He is survived by his widow, three daughters, and two sons. His death prompts E. G. Fendall to return from his boyhood home for the funeral.

Obituary of Hattie May Bowman Reflects Long Life of Faith
Hattie May Bowman was born January 19 1868 in West Waterville Maine. She moved to Newberg Oregon at nine and married Don C Gates on April 2 1887. The couple had two children Cecil and Mildred. She died November 1 1920 at Laurelwood near Gaston after a long Adventist life. Survived by husband two children her mother and three brothers and two sisters.
