Coleman of Portland at the base of Chehalem Mountain. The car and ten suitcases of contraband liquor were brought to McMinnville, with the machine headed toward Portland. Police suspects of accomplices followed. investigations continued.

Salmon Brown of Osawatomie Ends Life at 83
Salmon Brown son of John Brown of Osawatomie committed death by own action at his home in New York state. A Civil War veteran who helped organize a volunteer company and took part in the Black Jack fight, he had long suffered illness and fear of never recovering. He died by a .44 revolver bullet, with funeral services set for Hamilton's chapel and burial in the G A R cemetery led by Rev W Seaman.
