February Railcar Shortage Grows in Western Territory
During February western rail traffic surged and car shortages worsened. Railroads cite unprecedented demand and many cars detained at Seaboard points, but they added 51 more cars daily than last year. Total cars shipped reached 4487 versus 3652 in 1915, with 3662 in 1914, covering freight activities and excluding company business.
