The DeMoss family concert tour draws large crowds with a ten-year-old violinist finishing a solo on three strings after an E string breaks. Mr DeMoss simultaneously plays two cornets, delivering unique and beautiful music. Their reader charms audiences as well with pleasing presentations. Reserved seats at Kienle's music store cost 35 cents, general admission 25 cents.
The Chehalem Amateur Club staged its second monthly entertainment at the school gym on Friday night, March 10, drawing about 80 patrons. West Chehalem and local club bouts filled the card with several draws and a pair of wins by Worden in a Parry vs Worden match, plus wrestling outcomes featuring Jensen and Smail.
In McMinnville the jury found Mrs. Anna Booth guilty of murder in the second degree for the death of her husband. She received a life sentence on Monday. A motion for a new trial will be argued next Saturday and an appeal is likely. Prosecutor R L Conner praised for a strong record alongside Kirks.
The local W. C. T. U. met at Mrs. Bowerman's on March 8 with Mrs. Emma Bell Christenson presiding. Frances Liter gave a talk on "Work Among Lumber Men" urging distribution of literature to lumber camps and inviting managers to provide rooms for men during idle time.

Newberg high school lost to McMinnville 24 to 29 on March 10 on McMinnville’s large floor after a tied first half. Elliott led Newberg scoring while the crowd of 600 included 175 from Newberg.
