Pacific College won the Willamette Valley championship with a 19 to 14 road win over McMinnville College on a slippery Coliseum floor. Elliott led P C with 11 points, Gulley starred as a fourth-year senior, and Colcord and Hinshaw contributed solid guard play as no substitutions were needed.

President Pennington learned of Dr. David Starr Jordan accepting the invitation to Newberg. He spoke at Friends church at 8 p m for two hours about war, life in the European war zone, and the follies of war.
