Wedding Bells For Hagedorns In Oregon Town
The Hagedorn home hosted a charming wedding Saturday afternoon as their daughter descended the stairs to Mendelssohn’s wedding march played by Zelma Jones. The couple plans residence in Boise after a short honeymoon in Portland and will be at home July 15.

The West Willamette Baptist Association held its fifteenth annual meeting at the Newberg Baptist church with forenoon afternoon and night sessions. Rev. E. B. Morton served as moderator and Miss Hope Sully as clerk. Notable participants included Dr. C. M. Hill and Dr. W. B. Hinson, marking a well attended program.

Grandmother Blanchard Dies After Long Illness
Mrs. Drusilla Blanchard known as Grandma Blanchard died Tuesday morning June 6 1916 after months of illness. Born July 11 1846 at Pt Madison Iowa she married William Blanchard in 1863 and lived in Wisconsin until 1888. She moved to Oregon in 1907 and left behind thirteen children eight living including Fred N. Blanchard Nettie Potter Bud G Blanchard Effie Seckina Lloyd Blanchard Maude Wilson Paul Blanchard and Ralph Blanchard. A devout Baptist and lifelong Christian she was active in church and civic groups and was laid to rest in the Friends cemetery.

A new cannery is being erected on the site of the recent fire, 602 by 187 feet with a two story central section.
