Two Weekend Fires Threaten Larkin Prince Store and Home
Two small blazes occurred within days in the same town. Dr. Hawkins raised the alarm when smoke poured from a second story window at the Larkin Prince hardware store and firefighters quickly doused flames near an oil tank and benzine cans, averting major loss. The following day a fire in the George Crites residence on College and Hancock started from a kept box of keepsakes. Mrs. Crites sustained minor burns as she removed the burning item.
