Clara Hardin Meats Pioneer of Oregon Dies in California
Clara Hardin born October 12 1849 in Hancock County Illinois married William C Meats in 1873 at Carthage Illinois. The couple moved to Oregon in 1888 living in Philomath and later Newberg where she remained. She died suddenly in Los Angeles while visiting her daughter Mrs Andreas. Burial in Newberg with funeral at the Methodist church. She leaves three children Mrs Frank Cummins Beaverton J W Meats Beaverton and Mrs J D Andreas Los Angeles.
