Portland area orchard plans move forward with tree planting
A Portland news report details specalpap adiequen t growers preparing to set trees on lands near Newberg. The WhiteSex Co. led by W. J. Sullivan controls 98 acres with multiple 20 acre tracts. four 20 acre tracts for homes are bought by Sullivan and others. Forty workers will plant trees as weather permits, with Spitzenberg and Yellow Newtown varieties represented. Mr Ewing seeks to join the Newberg Apple Growers Union to advance efforts.
