Claude S. Calkins writes of life near Lewisville two miles from town, praising the Graphic publication, noting local liquor stance, and describing church activity. He mentions Sunday preaching at Lewisville every two weeks, Sunday School each Sunday at 10, and a new Sunday School and Christian Endeavor society organized in their district with good attendance.
A visitor from Airlie Oregon writes of Sundays filled with meetings at Newberg and praises the beauty of the little City of Churches. The writer signs as C S Calkins, Airlie, expressing pride in their convenient location and cordial regard.
Two games at the high school gym featured Junior and Freshman girls with the Junior team winning 16 to 11. Players for the Juniors included Nina Mills Gertrude Hollingsworth Margaret Iilig Lula Forsythe and Violet Craw. Freshmen lineup listed Esther Hollingsworth Beatrice Ward Loraine Otis Elva Parrish and Stella Cory. Afterward the Dilley team was defeated by Newberg High School's second squad 23 to 10.
A letter from R. B. Linnville explains he can collect county taxes at a local site for a small fee. The sheriff will provide a list of taxpayers, and Linnville will not be paid by the sheriff or county. The roll is to be ready around August 16 for those who want this service.
