Ford Eagle 37 sets speed record on Detroit to Montreal run

The Ford Eagle 37 made a 750 mile sea voyage from Detroit to Montreal in 63 hours, a new water speed record between the two cities. The voyage required towing through the Welland Canal. fifty U S Navy men manned the boat. The craft is expected to join the Atlantic fleet, and naval officers praised the performance amid Ford Motor Company submarine destroyer work at River Rouge, Michigan. Oregon gasoline extraction limits draw concern over supply and price.

Standard Oil Raises Gasoline Price 1 1/2 Cents a Gallon
