Alumni, old students, current students and faculty gathered Tuesday at Pacific College to strengthen bonds and promote loyalty. Dr Hester spoke as master of ceremonies and plans formed to organize an alumni association with Mrs W L Robertson chairing the executive committee. Miss Mildred Ferguson gave a piano solo, Mrs Rebecca W H Smith shared reminiscences about Herbert Hoover, and a social hour followed in the home economics room as plans were laid for a larger future event.

Duncan Evans Wedding in McMinnville Oregon
A simple but charming wedding was held on Thursday December 25 at noon at the home of Mr and Mrs H S Duncan in McMinnville Oregon. Miss Wilma E Duncan married Charles Arlie Evans of Newberg with Miss Theo Duncan as bridesmaid. The ceremony was performed by D Lord Morgan pastor of the Christian church. The bride wore white silk with a pink carnation and white lily corsage. A three course dinner followed. The couple will reside at 1003 North Street Newberg. The bride is a former teacher and the groom served in France with the 18th Engineers Corps.

Burglary Report At Larkin Prince Hardware Store
Burglars entered the Larkin Prince hardware store through a rear window on the weekend, taking about 300 dollars worth of goods including shotguns a rifle 150 to 200 pocket knives manicure sets and other items. Much silverware left untouched. A fifty dollar reward is offered for capture and conviction of the culprits.

Building Fund Drive For University Of Oregon
The University of Oregon seeks $30,000 to complete the Woman's Building project. State funds total $100,000 with a matching local appeal. Newberg students Gladys Paulsen and Harold Lee assist by collecting contributions from residents. The building will house women’s classrooms and a gymnasium, not a dormitory, amid severe overcrowding and improvised spaces.
