At Tuesday night’s city council meeting L S Otis won the first ward council seat to replace Wm Stratton, G W James won the third ward seat to fill J W Forsyth’s death, C B Wilson was named acting mayor, and J J Woods became marshal. The Agricultural College announces a week of general agricultural lectures starting Jan 5 and multiple focused courses. Creamery operations run Jan 5 to 15, dairying Jan 18 to Mar 27, horticulture and mechanic arts Jan 11 to Feb 20, road construction Jan 11 to Feb 6, and household science and art Jan 11 to Feb 20. Special lectures on farm business methods are planned.
