Golden Wedding Celebration For Willian Hs. Lytton
The G A R and W R C hall hosted the golden wedding of Mr and Mrs William Hs Lytton. The ceremony featured a wedding march, an arch of fern, and a marriage service read by Post Commander George Meader. Guests included four daughters with husbands and thirteen grandchildren. They wed in 1871 in Newton Iowa. Mr Lytton served in Company B of the 13th Iowa during the Civil War.
