Hoskins, Oregon prune pioneer dies at 66 in Springbrook
Cyrus E. Hoskins passed away after a months long illness at his Springbrook home. He came from Indiana in 1877 and built a fruit growing, horitculture driven orchard in the valley, pioneering commercial prune and later cherry varieties including the Hoskins. He leaves a widow and two brothers A M and J L Hoskins. Funeral at home Friday at 2 pm. Those wishing to view may come 10 to 1.
