McMinnville man killed in rural shooting over old grudge
James Hutchens shot Frank Wilbur after a quarrel on a road near Pea Vine Ridge. Walter Rodgers was killed when Hutchens turned his revolver on him, striking twice in the arm and shoulder before Rodgers died at the scene. Sheriff and doctors responded. Hutchens later left for McMinnville and was sought by police.

Obituary: John C Clemenson Dies Near Newberg After Long Life
John C Clemenson born June 24 1833 in Jutland Denmark died Wednesday at his Newberg Oregon home age 93. He immigrated 1865 lived in Winona Minnesota and Fergus Falls before settling in Newberg 1880. He leaves wife Christena Jensen two daughters and three sons with fifteen grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Burial in Friends Cemetery.
