Dayton guest of Dewey Noble sits among many local visits. Forest Grove and Portland residents visit kin, while Oregon pride shines with a trip back from Wyoming. Clover yields drop due to heat and drought as farmers report lighter harvests and clover midge damage.
The William Wilson home welcomed a nine-pound girl on the morning of July thirty first. Mrs Mary C Spencer Miss Lillian Spencer and Miss Merle McKelvey of Portland are visiting relatives in the Red Hills. The Parrett and Powell families camp at the beach while Wall and daughter Ruby join them. Ernest Thun David Marr Elmo Shannahan and Lowell Alford enjoy an outing at Pacific City. Miss Clara Poppleton of Port- seems to be part of the social notes.
The Deschutes Valley trip by D. M. Smith and Dr. S. J. Mann described road roughness and frost affected crops. Wheat yields reach 25-35 bushels per acre with Bellevue praised for progress. Houck mills processed about 2000 bushels of quality flour. new wheat at 75 cents. Early oats show promise but dry weather cut sowing.
Maud McGuire as guardian of Ward Livengood Miller and Hazel J. Miller minors is authorized to sell their real estate in Yamhill County Oregon. The 6.82 acre parcel at the county road and D L C is to be sold at public auction for cash on September 4, 1914 at 11:00 AM in McMinnville. First publication August 6 1914.
Notice declares William Everettte appointed executor of Elisabeth M. Hinshaw's estate in Yambillounty Oregon. Creditors must present claims to the executor at his residence in Yematit County within a stated deadline following the notice dated August 4.
