Newberg Paving Question Debated Ahead of Monday Meeting
The Newberg Graphic notes a large turnout for the upcoming paving vote with a remonstrance signed by about ninety percent of property owners who oppose paying current prices. It contrasts local bids with State Highway Commission estimates and questions whether Newberg can secure lower costs than the state. The editor also previews Fred Lockley as a potential Republican candidate for secretary of state and mentions a forthcoming county bonding communication from W. B. Dennis.
