The Odd Fellows hall hosted the fourth growers meeting with forenoon talks by George E Frost Jr of Farmers Supply Co Portland on fertilizers, a noon lunch provided by Newberg merchants, and an afternoon session amid strong interest.
Mayor Larkin called a patriotic gathering at Duncan's Hall to hear Judge John H. Stevenson of Portland. Rev Ge H. Lee opened, Kienle's orchestra played national airs, and Stevenson spoke for about thirty minutes urging cool but steadfast support if war comes, citing Wilson’s efforts to avert conflict with Germany.

At a Sunday meeting the union executive committee decided to carry on the membership contest beyond upcoming meetings. The aim is to boost young people’s interest and aid pastors after the meetings. Two sides are The Paul Elliots and The Grace Wilsons with 25 and 29 points respectively, seeking at least 27 new members.
Next Sunday evening the volunteer choir of the M E church will present the Easter cantata The Resurrection and the Life by Ira Bishop Wilson. The program features solo numbers and a women's chorus with selections The Earth in Ipoo The and Won Let Not Your Heart Be Troubled.

The group urges prayer for revival meetings and for the nation in the crisis of the week.

An 1895 letter from Neal Dow was shown. Next meeting set for Wednesday 2:30 at Mrs Paulsen's with a Round Table on Humane Education.
Pacific College Albany College debate upcoming Saturday night at Wood-Mar Hall will discuss whether the government should have the right to investigate before public utility employees may strike. The event starts at eight oclock with an admission fee of 25 cents.
