A turn of events on the Hudson river last night left Miss Frances Stevens of 57 South Maple Street East Orange New Jersey dead after the ferry Hopatcong rammed by the revenue service Seneca off the Palisades. The steamer Robert Fulton of Hudson River lines collided with a crowded barge Andrew Church near the Recreation Pier at 129th street about 7 PM. The impact smashed barge stern stanchions and shook passengers. police aided to prevent panic as patrolmen boarded to calm the crowd. The barge carried about fifteen hundred passengers and many women fainted. The Robert Fulton sustained no damage and continued downstream.

Balloon Flight Settles Wager in Early Morning Lift
Mystery surrounded the ascent of the All-America balloon from Aero Park North Adams at 5 a.m. Passengers included Norman Price a Bostonet New Yorker and Newport resident Mrs H B Heustis and Mrs N H Arnold of North Adams. The girl was part of a wager settlement and Price claimed it would be his last flight. The balloon landed safely four hours later at Goshen Connecticut.
