Auto Crash Kills Chauffeur Injures Brooklyn Teachers
An early morning collision on Avenue D and Ocean Boulevard Brooklyn involved a car carrying three city officials and a chauffeur crashing into a farm wagon with twenty teachers returning from Coney Island. Marine on Mayflower Sailor Killed in River Area
The body of H A C B Knudsan a marine attached to the Presidential yacht Mayflower was found early this morning at 10th Street and the North River by switchman John Gorman. Death was due to a fractured skull likely from a fall from the riverfront wall. The Mayflower had arrived yesterday and moved to meet foreign warships for the Hudson Fulton celebration then anchored off 50th Street. Knudsan had been on shore leave and seems to have wandered from the ship. The body was taken to the Morgue.
