One Killed and 88 Hurt in BRT Crash at Malbone Street
A rear-end collision between two Brooklyn Rapid Transit Company trolley cars on Flatbush Avenue near Malbone Street killed one man and injured 88, many severely. Motorman James Mooney fled the scene after the high-speed crash that demolished the rear of one car and the front of the other.
