Celtic to meet fleet with Atlantic supply duties
The Brooklyn navy yard is to fit out the supply ship Celtic with a large cargo of fresh and dry provisions and other shipboard goods for the Atlantic fleet recently organized under Rear Admiral C. H. A. The Celtic will accompany ships bound for West waters and may assist detachment ships on their homeward transfer. The Glacier, another supply ship, is reassigned to the Pacific fleet and will discharge provisions at an Australian port.

Chester Ends Endurance Test At Sea
Chester, a Scout Cruiser, completed a two day endurance run off the coast in rough seas, exceeding contract speeds on four and twelve hour trials. Admiral McLean reported the guns and machinery satisfactory, with the ship maintaining 23 knots for twelve hours and 26.1 knots for four hours. The four hour pace in March reached 26.52 knots.
