Missing baronet mystery tied to British Columbia inquiry
The piece traces the 1898 disappearance of Sir Arthur Curtis, third baronet, with an Indian guide on a Klondike expedition. It notes his presumed death, the long family history, Pocock's Frontiersman account, and rumors of disappearance across the North American West, with implications for Lady Curtis's remarriage and possible invalidation of heirs. It also covers Lord Gort arriving in New York and the Prendergast Vereker lineage tied to Ireland, including the Gort title and the historical Coloony event.
