In Caracas on November 20 government troops 3100 under Generals Velutini and Olivares recaptured Barcelona on November 26. Rebels led by Generals Guzman and Rolando fled with prisoners including Ayala Telieria and Marcano. Government forces inflicted a severe defeat then pursued rebels toward the mountains as news says Barcelona was deemed impregnable. The march toward Ciudad Bolivar is planned for tomorrow.
Port of Spain says Britain and Germany may plan joint action against Venezuela as Venezuelan gunboats seize four British merchants in the Orinoco. Kenton Ohio Nov 29 three men were killed in a boiler explosion at a sawmill in Alger near Kenton. Part of the building collapsed and the men were hurled a considerable distance. Bodies were terribly mangled and burned.

Reported delays prevented the Cunard Campania and the American Line St. Louis from reaching port yesterday amid rough weather near Nantucket.
