In Philadelphia on Thanksgiving, Pennsylvania defeated Cornell 12 to 4 before about 8,000 Cornell supporters and 30,000 Penn fans. Penn’s sustained drive and a late field goal by Caldwell, plus a first-half touchdown by Folwell after repeated penalties, sealed the victory amid a volcanic atmosphere and spirited play from both teams.
Paris reports from Oran that a Moroccan army segment crossed into Algeria on Wednesday. French forces, initially driven back with eleven killed and fifteen wounded, regrouped with reinforcements from Oudja and Nemours and pushed the Arabs back across the frontier. Ex-Premier Ribot pressed the government in the Chamber as Gen Piequart vowed a punitive expedition. In Oran the Arabs left eighty dead at Bab-el-Rassa and reportedly recrossed the border after burning a village and sustaining hand to hand fighting with French troops.

A second accident in Manhattan kills seven year old Mary Coughlin at East 48th Street when a Third Avenue trolley strikes her. she dies en route to hospital after severe injuries from a paper mask incident.
An organized gang has stolen forty nine children over the past two months in Mexico City. Police report twenty two boys and twenty seven girls aged two to seventeen have disappeared from their homes. Investigations are ongoing as to who is responsible and how the abductions were carried out.
Lewis Beall, a Princeton University student from Uniontown Pena, drowned in the Delaware River at Foul Rift while part of a six canoeing party. The third canoe overturned in a whirlpool as they headed back to Princeton, his body not recovered while a companion reached shore.
The jury to try Caleb Powers for the murder of William Goebel was completed today in Georgetown Kentucky. Eight Democrats and four Republicans serve with eleven from Grant County and one from Harrison County. The notice includes an unrelated advertisement about a famous highball drink.

Cornell right end Ray Van Orman was concussed during a scrimmage in Philadelphia. He was carried to the Cornell dressing room, then to University of Pennsylvania Hospital where he recovered consciousness. Physicians say he is not in danger and will likely be discharged soon.
Philadelphia reports Thomas P. McCutcheon a University of Pennsylvania graduate and local manufacturer dying in the Franklin Field grandstand during the Penn Cornell contest. His son Dr. Thomas P. McCutcheon was with him. John S. Beamish, on his way to the game, was struck in the head by a bullet from a Flobert rifle fired by a ten year old boy aiming at a target, and was severely but not fatally wounded.
In Pittsburg on a pleasant day, Carnegie Technical School faced Lehigh University on Schenley Oval. Lehigh won 21 to 0 as the event, organized to be free for the public, drew about twenty thousand spectators, a record Western Pennsylvania turnout. Programs funded visiting team expenses. The crowd exceeded previous football attendance in the region.
In Philadelphia on November 28 three players from Whitehall and Bridesburg were hospitalized with severe injuries after a football game. Walter Eckley suffered a concussion, F W Swartz a dislocated shoulder and collarbone, and Hugh Luckman a dislocated collarbone. At Royersford near Philadelphia E Bush broke a leg while playing football.
Topeka Kan November 2 Alpheus Stothower Wellington half back collided with a buggy on the sidelines during a home town game and suffered a brain concussion the injury may prove fatal
Joseph Meislin, a hotel proprietor in Appleton Wisconsin, shot himself with a shotgun on Thanksgiving Day after writing a note lamenting his lack of reasons to be thankful. Police reported the incident occurred on November 28.
