Washington faces a delicate policy moment as the United States weighs recognizing Estrada’s belligerency in Nicaragua amid reactions to the execution of two American citizens. The issue hinges on indemnity demands, Zelaya’s conduct, and Managua’s evolving reports after a cabinet discussion.
In Manacan Nicaragua on November 22 the government doubts the United States will demand separation after two Americans, Garciae and Cannon, were executed by court martial. President Zelaya refused to intervene, saying Nicaragua’s procedure followed the law. Washington reports the gunboat Vicksburg has reached Nicaragua waters. The vessel is commanded by Alexander S. After Samuel Gompers spoke at Cooper Union last night, an audience of shirt waist workers voted to strike. Similar votes occurred in four other halls. Demands include union recognition, 25 to 30 percent wage increases, and a 52 hour full work week. About 250 shops are expected affected.
Brownell C. Fox a Canajoharie lawyer was arrested in Bayonne after shooting patrolman Carl Kramer who is in City Hospital with a neck wound. Witnesses say Fox, who is tied to editor Harry C. Page, confronted Kramer on Avenue C near Ith Street and fled before being restrained by Motorman Myson Olmstead who handed him to police.
The will of Mary Gwendolin Byrd Caldwell’s husband the Marquise de Merinville is filed for probate in Louisville. It largely leaves the Caldwell estate to her sister Baroness Caldwell von Zedwitz with two $10,000 bequests to John Ridgely Carter and Charles H. Carter. Nephew Waldemar Conr ad von Zedwitz receives $100. Residue goes to the sister. church is not mentioned. Probate moved to New York for formalities.
Mayor McClellan moves to remove the entire Brook lyn Disciplinary Training School board of managers except Ephraim Byk who started the push against Superintendent Farr ll. New board will include three women. State Board of Charities report sent to managers with a one week reply deadline. Mayor argues no extended inquiry needed as State Board already investigated.

The four jurors were finally chosen. the suit seeks damages of 31 million dollars over alleged freight rebate discrimination and may take about three months to try.
Miss Barbara Rutherfurd daughter of Mrs W K Vanderbilt underwent an appendectomy at the Vanderbilt residence 660 Fifth Avenue last Tuesday. Dr Joseph A Blake performed the operation with assistance from family physician Dr George A Dixon who said she is convalescing She attends Miss Davidge's School.

Harford T. Marshall an assistant district attorney asked police to aid in finding Curtis Walton a 35 year old Cleveland architect who disappeared while traveling from Cleveland to York Walton to consult McKim Meade White about Dan Hanna home. Walton left Cleveland November 18 and an aunt in Cleveland said he would return soon but no word has been received since.
