Oswego Nov 15 Word reached this city that President Roosevelt offered Nevada N Stranahan of Fulton the post of Collector of the Port of New York. Stranahan said he would accept the appointment to take effect April 1 1902 and departed for Washington on an afternoon train for conference with the president.
