May reports from Hobart Anadarko indicate Snyder was struck by a tornado. Frisco relief train en route from Chickasaw four hundred plus killed and injured. Guthrie and Fort Worth report towns destroyed with widespread casualties and downed wires as doctors nurses and assistants mobilize.
Private sources report sixteen killed and over a hundred wounded in Zhitomir during anti Jewish riots with martial law imposed and troops deployed to restore order. Additional outbreaks reported in Gostynin, Warsaw province, with Jewish residents attacked and properties looted as fears of further disturbances spread along the Polish frontier.
Six Greenwich physicians led by Dr L P Jones and Dr William L Griswold dug the first earth for a new general hospital on the Greenwich emergency and isolation plant grounds. Funded by donors including $30,000 from wealthy residents and built as a three story stone structure 40 by 40 feet, the hospital will be run directly by the doctors with no trustees.
A rush hour crash between a Crosstown car and a Park Ave car of the Brooklyn Rapid Transit left several injured, three severely. Ambulances rushed victims to Brooklyn and Cumberland Street hospitals. Serious injuries included crushed feet and a fractured leg. Names tied to addresses on Berry Street North Street and Driggs Avenue appear among the wounded.
A theft at 58 West 47th Street in the Patterson Hotel targets David C Townsends New York home. Oil paintings, plate, jewelry and bric a brac valued in thousands vanish. Two hotel employees Crawley and Lewis arrested after Delia Monahan identifies them. Townsend family abroad in Florence.

Eastern Express No. 38 on the Pennsylvania railroad ran off the track into two dynamite cars near Harrisburg early today. An explosion followed as fire raged, with reports of about fifty dead and one hundred injured though figures remain uncertain as rescuers struggle to approach the wreckage and entombed victims.

A slight fire in the pilothouse of the Hackensack ferryboat between 99th and 138th streets and College Point was extinguished with fifty passengers aboard. Sparks from the fireboat Zophar Mills allegedly caused the blaze, which burned dry pilothouse wood before the crew contained it and resumed voyage toward College Point.Observers on North Brother Island feared a Slocum scale disaster but damage was contained.
Justice Vernon M. Davis of the Supreme Court issued a historic decision stopping blasting by Clinton Point Stone Company at Palisades near Black House Point on the New Jersey shore. Max Vogel of Riverside Drive was the plaintiff, with backing from the West Side Association led by Cyrus Clark and John C. Coleman, James A. Deering, and others. Clarence De Witt Rogers argued the case, establishing a precedent enabling abatement of nuisances crossing state lines. The Woodcliff Land Improvement Company owns the property and leased blasting rights to Clinton Point Stone Company.
elephants led from the 39th street ferry through South Brooklyn faced a police demand for Miller a pass. The three elephants were held at the 4th Avenue station and later remanded to Mr Tudor. Miller was discharged in court. Luna Park work continues apace.
In a dramatic open boat ordeal off Fire Island, four men aboard the sloop Fannie S lost food and water for 36 hours.
