Brain Pierced Lived Forty Days Then Died in Mount Vernon
Fourteen year old John Farley of 637 South Fifth Avenue Mount Vernon died in St Johns Hospital Yonks after living forty days with a bullet in his brain. He was riding a trolley car January 31 when a shotgun in his possession discharged on impact. Doctors Joy Feldmann and David Joh operated, finding the bullet in the brain. Surgeons expected death within days yet he gradually improved before a decline last Monday and a semi conscious state until death.
