Evils of Congestion Conference Continues in City

The ongoing conference at the American Museum of Natural History chaired by Governor Hughes examined urban crowding in New York. Dr. Felix Adler blamed commercialism for congestion in tenements and argued parks do not solve the problem, urging relocation of factories and workers to undeveloped lands. Other speakers praised schools as social centers while noting immigrant home life and inadequate housing as core issues, with calls for more parks and targeted industry outside cities.
