Poisoned Man’s Death Mystery Near Ramsey In New Jersey

William Ryerson, a New York waiter living at 281 East 2nd Street Manhattan, died at his uncle John Sisco’s Ramsey, Bergen County home from what doctors called corrosive sublimate poisoning. Woman Captures Burglar at West 100th Street

Mrs W J R Johnston, wife of a novelist, confronted a burglar in her West 100th Street apartment building last evening. She seized him by the arm, searched for her missing items, and handed him to Patrolman Morrell after dragging him to a window. The arrestee, George Berger of 218 East 10th Street, was charged with burglary.

Train Hits Auto Near Haliford Station

Senex Conn June 71 report says Henry Hiverbort chauffeur for ER P Dickey of Haliford failed to stop at a signal. The auto was struck by a freight engine at a railroad crossing near the station late today. Dickey likely sustained fatal injuries while Mrs Dickey suffered a broken arm and her sister a dislocated hip. The chauffeur escaped unharmed.

Racing autoist killed Mrs Woodruff in air trip

Milwaukee June Walter Donnelly of Cincinnati in a fifty mile race at State Fair Park was killed when his car struck a fence. His death followed a wheel failure and dust at the turn. His wife watched from the grandstand and had just said he never met an accident. Separately at Hempstead Mrs Woodruff wife of ex Lieutenant Governor Timothy L. Woodrum flew in a Howard Wright biplane with aviator Thomas Sopwith. The trip lasted about fourteen minutes covering twelve miles with the craft at three to five hundred feet. She later took two more flights before a safe landing at Mineola Belmont Park and Nassau Boulevard.
