Government of England by A Law Lowell review

A critical appraisal of Lowell's two volume study on England’s government. The article praises its comprehensive scope from crown to parish councils, its thorough treatment of central and local institutions, parties, and electoral dynamics, while noting some contested claims about class and party organization. It urges admiration for Lowell’s insight into English character and political life.
