Remedies for Contests Ormsby McHarge's Reform Plan
Ormsby McHare of North Dakota and Washington argues for honest delegation, local control, and formal credentials to end contest chaos at the Republican National Committee. He proposes state central committees certify delegates, a simple code of laws, and deposition-based evidence while limiting inquiries to convention fraud and avoiding challenges to state acts. He also suggests counting Southern electoral votes to boost turnout and curb corruption, aiming to restore respect for Southern representation and strengthen republican principles.
