Budapest dispatch reports Emperor Charles pledges early peace and wide suffrage reform. A 100000 strong demonstration urged Esterhazy to adopt secret ballot and enlarged franchise. The burgomaster received the address. the Emperor said reforms would be carried out and he would seize the first chance to secure notable peace.
