Hudson Cos Transfers Title to Broadway Block for 3 Million
The Hudson Companies yesterday transferred title to a Broadway block front between 324 and 33d streets to Manhattan Hudson Realty Company, which mortgaged the property for 3 million dollars to Mutual Life Insurance. The site is slated for a Hudson & Manhattan Railroad terminal near 334th Street and Sixth Avenue, with part of the terminal building possibly used by a well known dry goods house. Also formed yesterday at 16 Broadway was the Greater New York Taxpayers Conference, electing George W. Brush as president and Allan Robinson, Charles H. Schnelle, and David A. Clarkson as officers to watch the city budget and cooperate with municipal researchers. The conference invites other taxpayer groups and plans an exhibit on city spending.
