Princes and Estates Shape Scots Legacy Amid Family Moves
Historical notes describe the shift of Blythswood and Douglas properties in Scotland as Rev Sholto Douglas becomes Lord Blythswood and passes Mains and Dumbartonshire holdings to Archibald Campbell's line, with the estate history tracing to Margaret Douglas and the Douglas kin. The Blythswood mansion, damaged by fire, and Queen Victoria's visits frame a lineage ending with General Barrington Campbell.
