German Cruiser Demands Indemnity Over Chinese Indignation
Mail advices from China report the German cruiser Jaguar demanding indemnity after German missionaries converted a house at Lim-Chou into a chapel and Chinese forces destroyed it. Killing Over Cards in Newark Saloon Fight
John Murray twenty of 50 Stone street Newark was killed by a blow to the heart during a cards game in Michael Malloy’s Crane street saloon. Michael Rogers a co worker at Ayers lumber yard was arrested charged with delivering the blow. Several customers witnessed the quarrel as Murray collapsed.
