Death by own action of prominent Brooklyn jeweler
Clarence P. Elliott of Brooklyn committed death by own action today by throwing himself before an eastbound train near Brentwood while at a sanatorium for melancholia. He belonged to Mainden Brothers & Elliott jewelers of Maiden Lane, Manhattan, and lived at 159 South Oxford Street. The coroner, Dr Moore, pronounced the death and the body was moved to a morgue then Brooklyn. He was about fifty years old.
