SECRET BRIDE DIES IN AUTO WRECK NEAR DANBURY
Danbury Conn July 2 Mrs Wynnett Davia Benedict widow of Arthur Brady of Golden's Bridge and secretly married to her second husband James A Benedict was killed at night when a racing automobile overturned and trapped both occupants Benedict escaped unharmed The accident on Mill Main Road near Mill Plain ended with Benedict dragging out Mrs Benedict who died fifteen minutes later The marriage occurred June 23 and was to be announced after this week The two men freed her after the wreck and the car's tire burst at forty miles an hour The story ties to Brady's will dispute and Mrs Benedict's notoriety from a 1910 shooting by Brady and the ensuing settlement of $100000 estate for the widow and child.

$90 000 Jewels Stolen in 8 O Clock Robbery
Parlor maid told of a masked intruder with a revolver but her description scarcely aids police. Jewels valued at about 90,000 were taken from the Long Branch home of lawyer Harry J. Haas while the family was away. Entry believed via a window. a butler and servants heard commotion but the thief fled when confronted.
