Fatal Auto Ride Kearny Jersey City Tragedy Claims One Life
A high speed crash on the New Jersey Turnpike between Kearny and Jersey City killed John Lavin a 21 year old trolley conductor and injured John J Egan a Manhattan clerk. The car driven by Lee Bradford skidded near the Hackensack River bridge overturned into three feet of water. Mrs Elizabeth Townsend aged 86 of Ridge Boulevard Bay Ridge died from self inflicted throat wound.
