Stock Market Drifts With Mixed London and Paris Rates

The stock market moved slowly with little total volume around 500,000 shares and a mostly professional turnover. American Smelting and Refining led the declines, while the Bank of England and Bank of France rate cuts influenced London and Paris more than New York. Call money hit record lows as time money eased, and gold exports may begin modestly despite abundant local funds.
