Auto Kills Child in Dense Fog in The Bronx
An eight year old girl, Mabel Mauser of 314 East 14th Street, was fatally struck by a car belonging to Kuchar Weber in The Bronx area near Willia avenue between 14th and 146th streets. The driver and a companion, Raymond Hockachinid, with the chauffeur in the rear seat, rushed to Lebanon Hospital but Dr. Goldman pronounced the child beyond human aid. The driver and passenger surrendered to police as did the chauffeur of the Webber car whose home is listed as No 30 Hamilton Place New Rochelle. The coroner later held the chauffeur on a homicide charge.
