Mrs P S Henry Killed In Fire At Fifty Sixth Street Home
Mrs Florine Henry wife of Philip S Henry prominent coffee merchant and daughter of the late Leonard Lewison suffocated in a fire that destroyed their temporary East Fifty sixth street home. Servant Albertha Erickson clung to a fourth floor window ledge and fell after rescue efforts, dying later at Flower Hospital. Children Violet and Gladys were saved. other rescuers and residents aided. Police and firefighters battled smoke and flames as Mrs Henry was found dead in the second floor room.
