Pittsburgh December 2 Special The Carnegie Steel Company posts notices at Duquesne Edgar Thomson and other works announcing January 1 wage increases. Common labor rises to 160 a day and other day and tonnage labor rise in proportion with exceptions for tonnage scales and new subdepartments. The package totals a 7.14 percent advance, bringing the overall increase since the last general scale to 9.7 percent. About fifteen thousand men are affected.
