Burlington Gets Line Buys Colorado Road

The Colorado and Southern Railway Company has been acquired by the Chicago Burlington and Quincy Railway Company. The purchase was cash, about 7 percent of the $1,000,000 outstanding common stock, roughly $2329.00 to majority sellers. Boise Hawley, the largest holder, and associates transferred control to Burlington. The deal keeps Colorado and Southern operating independently with no preferred stock changes.
