Death of Maceo Confirmed in Cuban War Plot

A Havana Havana Cuba telegram confirms General Maceo was murdered in a treacherous conference with the Marquis of Ahumada. The Cuban staff physician Zertucha was captured while most of Maceo's party died in a surrounding Spanish trap. Reports say Maceo fell by a bullet to the head and another wound, while his aides perished.
