Money Market and Exchange Rates Report

The money market opened with on call rates at 2 percent, trading up to 3 percent and closing near 2 percent. Time money ranged 6 percent for 30 days, 6 to 6 1/2 for 60 to 90 days, and 6 1/2 to 7 percent for longer terms. Foreign exchange moved higher early, then steadied with cables around 4.8765, demand sterling near 4.8710, and sixty day bills around 4.8290. Bankers’ posted rates show mixed European francs and reichsmarks, with several currencies quoted. Domestic exchange notes varied by city, with specific discounts and premiums cited. Bank clearings list New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Chicago, and other cities with exchange figures. Silver and gold market quotes include bar silver at 68 cents per ounce and related premiums. Outside Securities Market Mixed Yet Firm Through Day

The outside securities market opened quiet with irregular prices but a generally firm tone. Early gains in copper shares faded, then afternoon trading lifted some names to day highs as Boston Copper and Greene-Cananea climbed. Nipissing Mines and Micmac Mines gained on active buying while Standard Oil and American Tobacco advanced. bonds remained dull.

Chicago Milwaukee and St Paul Railroad stockholders meeting

The annual stockholders meeting for election of Directors and other business will be held at the company office in Milwaukee at twelve o'clock noon on Saturday September 1 1867. Transfers close on August 21 and reopen September 23. Roswell Miller chairman. August 1 1907.

Union Pacific Annual Meeting Notice in Salt Lake City

The Union Pacific Railroad Company will hold its stockholders annual meeting in Salt Lake City Utah on Tuesday October 8th 1907 at noon for election of fifteen directors and other lawful business.
