Kern Notification At Indianapolis Tells Trust Debate
In Indianapolis on August 25, Kern notification events drew about 15,000 at the Colosseum where Theodore E. Bell spoke. Bryan and Kern dominated remarks with Bryan facing private labor talks and Kern defense of populist themes, arguing for stricter anti trust action and license regulation to curb private monopolies. Bryan then warned that Taft’s anti trust stance is weak while pledging a Democratic program to end private monopolies and restore competition. Bryan leaves for Salem Illinois with Mack heading to Washington.
